Start with the official Mods overview and your version of Claude Code. Mods are enabled by default in CLI version 2.1.287 and later; older early-access feature-flag instructions are not a general installation method. An individual Mod may need a newer version or another tool.
Choose the right command context
Open the Mod's detail page and follow the author's linked instructions.
A claude plugin ... command goes into your system terminal; a /plugin ... command goes inside an interactive Claude Code session.
Do not paste a slash command into your shell or a shell command into the session prompt.
The three published examples each have commands checked against an author README and marketplace mapping, but we have not executed the installs:
- token-ledger uses terminal commands from the author's marketplace README.
- cc-pr-tracker uses terminal commands and additionally requires a working GitHub CLI login and a version requirement from its author.
- launch-codes uses slash commands in the Claude Code interactive session.
Read the linked source at its reviewed commit before executing a command. The source commit fixes what we checked, not what a live marketplace install will fetch later. For plugin management and removal, follow the current official plugin documentation. If the Mod does not appear or act as expected, use the troubleshooting guide.
