Claude Mods is an independent community directory, not an Anthropic service or security certification program. We list a Mod only after finding its source repository and confirming that it uses function hooks, rather than relying on a project name or a third-party scan alone. Four Claude Code built-in Mods remain unpublished official references, not ordinary installs.
Four independent checks
- Source metadata: We read the original repository, plugin manifest, hook registration, and author instructions at a recorded commit.
- Local static validation: This is marked complete only if we execute a validator locally and record its output. Reading a third-party scan does not count.
- Installation test: This is marked complete only if the Mod loads in a recorded local environment.
- Functional test: This is marked complete only after a specific action succeeds in a recorded environment.
For the current three entries, only source metadata and the origin of the installation commands have been checked. No local validator, installation, functional test, or security audit has been performed. Compatibility fields stay Unknown when the author does not make a claim and we have not tested them. Mods execute with user permissions, not in a sandbox; the official overview explains the trust boundary.
Media, corrections, and publication
An author's demonstration remains a link until reuse permission is confirmed. A repository license does not automatically license every image, video, avatar, or trademark. Our records use the original source, a checked date, and a separate publication decision; the other 50 curated candidates remain drafts. Submit a correction through the directory submission path, with a source link and the specific claim to change.
